The St. Catharines Cycling Club runs many programs and events throughout the year that require support from its club members and friends to run. The club doesn’t exist without your support and participation in its operation and activities.
The executive makes rewarding volunteers a priority. The club hosts an appreciation night to recognize volunteers with food courtesy of the club as well as a gift certificates from local bike shops and prize draws.

To serve as an Officer or member of the club Executive, a member in good standing must express interest to the Executive prior to elections and attend the Annual General Meeting. AGM occurs near the end of the year and is posted on the club’s calendar. Roles are assigned through election by membership.
Each Tuesday night ride requires marshals at important intersections and sweeping of debris from the corners. Sweeping and marshaling ensure that the training ride is safe for members and all road users.
Everyone plays a part in the safety and progression of the group on rides. Rockway rides require riders to lead various ability based groups. Contact executive if you would like to take more of a leadership role in this capacity.
Each time trial night requires assistance in time keeping, a holder for riders at the start, marshals at important intersections and sweeping of debris from the corners. Sweeping and marshaling ensure that the time trial is safe for all road users.
Nearly 100 volunteers are required to pull off one of Ontario’s most successful provincial cup series races. A variety of roles are available to suit every volunteer interest. Come for a half day or full day and bring a friend. Membership not required.
The youth road program aims to integrate young riders into mainstream club rides to further development. Additional rides are scheduled for training and skill development. Volunteers are required for safety and teaching on these rides. Support may also be needed at competition for carpool and feed zones.
St. Catharines Cycling Club requires completion of a Volunteer Agreement and a Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance Certificate (or appropriate alternate document) before commencement of volunteering with Youth Programs. Reimbursement is available for clearance certificate.
Experienced mountain bike riders are required to assist in guiding youth riders in various ability based groups during Monday night trail rides.

A co-ordinator is required to schedule the twice yearly club clean up of Effingham Hill, gather supplies and recruit volunteers. Clean up crew are required to assist in the clean up. Gloves and bags are provided. Time commitment is approximately 1hr.
Work with club website developers to help keep the site current and address technical issues. Social media assistance is also required.
