WHO WE ARE

The St. Catharines Cycling Club has a 50 plus year history as a hotbed of cycling talent. The SCCC was founded in 1971 by a group of local cyclists with considerable racing experience. The purpose of the club was to promote bicycle racing,  develop young riders and serve as a focal point for cyclists interested in  racing.

The club has been one of the more successful clubs in Canada and has helped produce Provincial, National and World Champion cyclists.

The Club offers several organized rides throughout the week and hosts a one of the oldest races in Ontario called the Niagara Classic.

While the St. Catharines Cycling Club’s history and ongoing focus is in road racing, many members are also involved in track, mountain bike, cyclocross and triathlon competition. The membership also includes many recreational cyclists who like to push themselves to go a little faster.

Club members have access to training rides, club races, time trials and social events. Most bike shops in the city provide discounts to SCCC members as well.
