Karen Strong Inducted into the Hall of Fame
The past weekend in Milton saw the Canadian Cycling Greats welcome St. Catharines Cycling Club’s very own Karen Strong into the Cycling Hall of Fame.
A bow to acknowledge a SCCC’s Grand Dame, Karen Strong. Karen is the Canadian cyclist who led the way for Canadian women in cycling. Our Karen won a bronze medal at the 1977 World Championships and dominated the women’s events at the Canadian Cycling Championships from 1975 to 1982. Karen also represented Canada at the 1984 Summer Olympics. A role model for all!
We are so very proud of our Hall of Fame Cycling Greats….the above photo of our St. Catharines Cycling Club Hall of Fame Members Gord Singleton, Karen Strong and Steve Bauer is a historical moment for Canadian Cycling!
